Before taking over the 4th generation salmon smoking family business,
Lance Forman started out as President of the Cambridge
Union, qualified as a chartered accountant at Price
Waterhouse and was then appointed Special Adviser to
the Secretary of State
for Trade and Industry.
He joined Forman's in 1994 and has developed the business, pioneering the growth in speciality British Food, through the launch of Forman & Field.
His battle with former Mayor of London over the compulsory purchase of the Forman's factory led
to the development of a new premises, venue and restaurant – Forman's Fish Island – in record breaking speed. It is the closest venue in London to the 2012 Olympic Stadium.
Lloyd HardwickExecutive Chef
Lloyd learnt his craft under the Roux Brothers, going on to become the first Executive Chef of The Tate Modern. Lloyd's recipes and menus are legendary, original and are a taste sensation.
Most venues have to hire outside caterers and bring food to the venue. All of our catering is done in house and on site, it's some of the best event food in London.

Mike cut his teeth in the West End, before going on to work in some of the best events companies in London, including an eight year stint in the highly demanding world of Formula 1, as Executive Chef of Absolute Taste. This led to him running his own events company, supplying luxury item brands throughout Europe. Mike’s attention to detail and his insistence on using only the very best raw ingredients has put him at the forefront of event hospitality for over two decades.
Holly BurrowsHead of Events, Sales & Marketing
Holly heads up the Events, Sales & Marketing, and is passionate about bringing its amazing event space (Formans Fish Island) to life and ensuring everyone knows about this East London gem! Following a series of high profile Marketing, PR and Commercial positions with the Institute of Promotional Marketing (IPM), LBC Group, the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR), as well as sporting venues, Holly is now ready to revitalise Fish Island’s events programme, with an array of exciting and inventive plans to match its creative location. Fact about Holly – she loves netball and winning… oh and salmon too of course!
